Filthy Lucre?

This lesson’s activities are all based on the song Money by Pink Floyd, and no surprise the theme here is all about money! That includes its pitfalls, for example, the greed and selfishness it often tends to bring but also how it can also be used for good. The term filthy lucre is little known as it is an old one meaning unclean financial gain.

Of course, there is a focus on grammar focus and an opportunity to use it in both written and spoken production. Vocabulary work is extensive on the topic of money including a speaking discussion and some writing on the topic, as well as a reading and comprehension text on a related theme. There are also money clichés and famous quotes about money.
