Chris Foster Tolley – Novelist

I also write fiction under the nom de plume of Chris Foster Tolley. Trip ’89 is my first novel. It is a coming of age / adventure novel which due to its focus on modern British political and cultural events, might well appeal to those who like Iain Banks, Jonathan Coe, David Nicholls, Tony Parsons and Nick Hornby. Some parallels can be drawn with books such as Alex Garland’s The Beach, Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower and David Mitchell’s Black Swan Green.

In an alernate reality, perhaps Ian Dury sang “sex and drugs and campervans…are very good indeed!”
